How Does Microneedling Work?
Microneedling is completed in a treatment room in around 30 – 60 minutes with local anesthesia or numbing cream if desired; however, patients typically report mild or no discomfort. A topical treatment, like growth factor serum, may be applied for deeper penetration of the nutrients into the skin. A moisturizer will be massaged in along with UV protection because the treated skin will be sensitive following the procedure.
